HELP with some mods

Hey everybody, i just recently registered to this club and i have a question.... i have an 93 fd and did some mods... blitz intakes 3 inch downpipe, and my car is in the shop getting a 3 inch exhaustt with an electronic cut out put in... beefed up intercooler and radiator and pulley kit... do i need to add more fuel due to more airflow? if so... is it a MUST before i can drive my car again.? or do i just have to stay below a certain amount of boost? thanks

ok so what is the over / under on the life span of this car with this owner??? 1 week 2 months???

Quadulus Jun 17, 2006 05:31 PM

more air = more fuel.

Most guys put on a PFC or something like that. I would say yes, you need to increase fuel before driving around.

At the very least you need a PFC. But if you really want to be safe, new fuel pump, larger injectors, and a GOOD dyno tune. Good luck.

PS: I say 2weeks/2months.

Read the FAQ thread. Search using the term "boost creep". Search using the term "full exhaust". You can use my username as an additional filter.

DO NOT USE THE CUT-OUT.

these cars are extremely easy to mess up if you don't build them right. i'd highly suggest doing a helluvalot of research before moving further with your mods. personally, i'd suggest doing a search on reliability mods and go with those.

so any reliability mods that u guys suggest b4 continuing with others?

Search the For sale section of this forum. I see Power FC's for sale almost every day at great prices. Adding more fuel is what the power FC does, among many other things. Make sure you get it tuned for your setup. Don't just hook it up and drive. It doesn't work like that.
