Help with replacing oil filler tube

I have a broken fitting on my oil filler tube, and need to replace the entire tube. There are 2 bolts holding the tube in place. The one on the drivers side has easy access. I cant see the bolt on the opposite side, or any way to get to it. Do I have to remove the throttle body to get to the bolt? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks, Adam

It's not too much trouble with the throttle body removed.

If it's a standard filler, there's three 6mm bolts. Two on the neck are straight forward, front one isn't visible, I usually use a 1/4" drive, a short extension and a universal - and feel for it - normally have p/s pump out of the way too.

Its a stock filler neck. The bolt on the drivers side is a 10mm. I'm assuming that the one I cant see is the same. These bolts are at the base of the filler neck. I didnt see a third bolt.

Monkman, How long/difficult to remove the throttle body. I dont want to mess up any of the linkages? Is there a gasket or seal I will need to replace. I have already removed the elbow.

Thanks, Adam

I'm more surprised you've owned the car for this long and haven't removed the TB. ;) It only takes a few minutes, not a problem at all.

You won't.

Yeah, it will be easier to get to with the TB off. It is also hard to get a 10mm socket in there with all the stuff around it, I switch mine to alien head screws for easier access.

If you have an original paper throttle body gasket it will need to be replaced. The newer ones are metal. There is also an oring under the oil neck.

Thank you.
