HELP!!! reinstalling stock ecu, car won't start
 

I removed all the parts off of my car and reinstalled the stock parts. The only thing I had trouble with was reinstalling the blue wire with a yellow strip back into the plug to the stock ecu. It is terminal 4O (Solenoid Valve, EGR main relay). Now the car won't start. It sounds like the starter is turning, but I don't think it is turning the engine. I checked to see if I had spark and I do. The only thing I could think of was the airpump might be engaged and not let the belts turn to turn the engine over or something. I loosened the belts a bit in case they were too tight.

Anyone have an idea? I have a buyer for the car so I need to get it working asap? HelllllPPpPP????

Well all you need it 3 things
1. Spark you have this, did you check all 3 coils
2. Compression, my guess is you have this
3. Fuel make sure all your fuses are good and relay.

If you want some help give me a call later on tomorrow like 1 or so.

No, I just checked the plugs for the rear rotor. I am pretty sure I have fuel, but I will check the relays. I am not sure what happened. The car ran fine, then I parked it and removed the performance parts and reinstalled the stock parts and now I am having problems. I think it has to do with the ecu, but I am not sure yet.

What do you mean you had a problem with the wires did they just not plug in right? What happened after loosening the belts?

When I was trying to remove the pins from the harness connector I just plain pulled one of the wires from the plug. I tried to remove the pin so I could solder the wire on the pin and reinstall it. No luck. I ended up almost destroying the pin except for the front portion that makes contact with the ecu pin. I took a piece of solder and jammed it in the connector slot on top of the mangled pin, made sure it was making a connection, then soldered the wire into the solder and hence the pin. I checked it and it was conducting the signal. Other than that I can't think of anything else that was hard, or didn't just bolt right back in. Loosening the belts didn't do anything. I check the egi relay and the fuel pump relay and they both make clicking noises when I apply 12V to one post and ground another. I am not too great on the diagnostic stuff as you can tell. I also checked for codes and the ecu doesn't have any. Probably because the car hasn't started since I put it back in.

Check the engine fuse under the dash, 15amp. Also check the EGI and circuit opening relay.

Just out of curiosity how long did your car sit before you made all the change?

Your sure its not something simple like you battery right?

I had a similar problem. I turned of my car one day and the next day it just woulnt start. I had all the dummy lights turn on, and I could hear the solinoid "click" but I had no crank. I was worried it was the starter, but it turned out that my battery just didn't have enough juice to crank. Usually when things go wrong its the simple things that will fix it....but we own FD's its more likely its complex.

Battery is charged. It only sat for like 2 weeks. I am doing the unflooding procedures right now to see if it will start. Checked the fuses and the egi relay I will check the other one.
