I'm in the same situation right now and the video is dead, anybody got it hosted somewhere else or can give me tips?

There's a release collar on the other side of the pressure plate that you need to separate, you can see it thought the inspection plate on the bell housing, which by the way you should have done before you pulled the tranny out.

you did not have to unbolt the pressure plate from the flywheel. all you had to do is take a long flat head screwdriver and pop the goldish o-ring clip that sits around the pressure plat springs (as seen through the access hole on the bottom passenger side of the trans).

Sgtblue beat me to it.
Here is another good thread with the video in it... https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...clutch+problem |
It's also in the FAQ under "Clutch"
|
The way you have it right there in the picture, move the clutch fork backward toward the back of the car which moves the collar forward, then gently pry the large "snap" ring from the collar. After the ring is removed the plate should slide off the collar.
But you need to understand how this collar works. Watch the video tom |
http://71.102.125.165/rx7/pullclutch.htm this is the exact same video found on Google video, but you can download and save it easily if you get it directly from me :) |
RX7 RAGE- are you replacing the clutch or removing the engine?
