HELP PLEASE with the ECU and Boost Problem

I'm really not getting my question answered...kinda just hanging out on the limb now..
One person dont waste the money and other do say to upgrade the ECU.. ok question -- what does this APEXi PFC do for my car -- reg. Tells the computer to add more fuel and that's it. Will it give me more boost? Will it keep the boost at a certain level?

When you take it to get tuned you tell them what you want to boost at, what sort of mods you have, and they tune it accordingly. Yes, it adds more fuel and that allows for more boost which gives you more power. It is a very good unit if you have somewhere to take it and get it tuned.

I beg to differ. the PFC without a commander is just like any other modded ECU, M2 pettit, etc. with commadner you can monitor everything in your car and make changes. to simply change your boost you wouldn't send it in to get tuned. You can always tuen the PFC better for every setup, but you coudl do the same to pettit or M@ ecu if you could. Don't confuse the fact that PFC is by far the best and most cost effective mod that can be purchased for an FD. you save 300$ on gauges, time and cash for fan mods, just all kinds of stuff. plus it is only a few hundred more dollars than aftermarket chipped ECUs.

It will allow you to control virtually everything of the car, you never need to chaneg it with new mods, just make minor adjustemtn s in it. It does lack some features that for example haltech might have, but then again, haltech is not for faint at heart, PFC is

get PFC, and intercooler, pump it up to about 12.5# of boost and ride like the wind. that is all you need.

The Commander is sold separately (unless the place you order from is selling a package deal).

With Downpipe, Exhaust would you need the PFC? Would getting a front
mount IC, downpipe, exhaust and raising boost with PFC be a safe idea?

Sorry I dont know anything about the PFC or ECU's either. Much help would be appreciated!
