help my rx7 makes a bump noise from the front left suspension..

hi guys need help, my rx7 has this weird bump noise on the front left suspension.. i tried pushing the front side of the car down with my hand and it makes a weird bump noise.. dunno if it's because of worn bushings or what.. but its really annoying .. could anybody help me figure it out or point me on the right direction??

On these kinds of issues, the more info you can give, the better the response.
*Can you describe the noise any better than a "bump"?
*When does it make this noise?Does it change depending on speed, turning, braking, acceleration, compression or rebound of suspension?
*Is it just in the left front? Is your suspension stock?

***What have you done yourself to find out what it is and/or eliminate possibilities? Have you put the car up on stands, removed the wheel and inspected it at all?

thanks for the reply.. yes its only on the front left and it makes kind of like a bonking sound when the road is a bit bumpy, and it happens only when the suspension is moving.. i tried pushing down on the car with my hands right above the suspension on the front left and it makes the same sound.. couldnt find thr problem so dunno where to fix it.. but its very annoying.. (imagine doing CPR on top of the suspension, thats when it makes the sound) sorry for the example.. but thats the best i can do to explain it..thanks

Sounds like you have a blown strut, worn control arm bushings, worn strut hat, or a combination of any / all of those.

^Technically, it's a double-wishbone front suspension, with coilsprings and shocks. No struts.

If it's all stock, my first suspects would be the balljoints, especially the lower.

Ah...forgot that FDs had double wishbone. I guess I should look up something on FD suspensions before making comments about them. :wallbash: Those were just general ideas from other cars I've owned. But yeah...suspect ball joints. How many miles are on your car, crybabii?
