help MOTOR FINISHED?

can you please tell me what you think? my engine was rebiult 3000 miles ago and it was alright until a few days ago when i relized a leak of coolant under the car somewere between the two front wheels.a friend of mine suggested i put a thing called <radiator conditioner>what its ment to do is stop leakages from anywere in the cooling system.so i put it in today and after 20minutes it stoped leaking.i drove the car for a while and it was o.k but as i got near to my house the engine started cutting out so i just about made it home.now i try starting it but it doesnt start.please you guys can you tell me what you think.

Look at your dipstick. Does the oil look milky? If it does, you're screwed. If it doesn't, take it to a shop and get them to pressure test your cooling system. Often times it's a loose hose clamp.

Not much to say really.

Never ever drive an FD with any sort of coolant leak or problem, it is a sure fire way to kill the motor.

Check coolant doesn't have oil in it, and check oil doesn't have coolant in it.

Then, if it still won't start, take it to Rotechniks in Reading, they will sort it out for you, and empty your wallet, with a smile of course !

Good Luck,

Richard

do you think the stuff i put in the radiator might of caused the problem?the car had coolant in it ,it didnt overheat.it sounds more like the apex seals have gone.could it be the spark plugs or something electric?

Damaged apex seals should not effect your coolant......Compression will test apex sealing...
