Just letting you know, you've walked into hostile territory. Prepare to be torn apart.

But, to answer one of your questions, look into Chris Sander's Shop, Banzai Racing. He's right there in Indiana, and is probably the best rotary technician in the midwest. His screen name on here is BlueTII...I'd PM him or visit his website:
http://www.banzai-racing.com/

Easiest way to get what you're looking for is to go single turbo, but that requires a lot of supporting mods. Those numbers can be done on twins, but, IMO, you're limiting yourself later on. Guys with big HP have big turbos, plain and simple. You'll also have to worry about fuel system (injectors, pump), turbo system (turbo, manifold, exhaust, intercooler, piping, couplers), ECU upgrade (most people go with the Apexi Power FC, but there are others), upgraded clutch...theres a bunch of things that you have to consider. It is a 14 year old car, so you can't just expect to modify without fixing. If you're getting a new engine, go to Chris and get a ported motor. That's a great start. Modify in stages, relearn to drive the car after each step, and eventually you'll get where you want to be.

Banzai Racing is the way to go, just tell Chris what you want your car to do and he will tell you how to get it. I've been working with Chris for two years adding mods as I can afford then. If you are looking for 325-350 RWHP you don't have to go single turbo if you build it right. I'm pushing over that with the stock sequential twin turbos. You can see my build at http://www.banzai-racing.com/gaglio_rebuild.htm .
Good luck with your build,
Joe

Hey joe! Car's looking great :) This is Tyler...from the 2kc Motorfest (had an Evo then). If you see Ryan, tell him we need to hang out soon! I miss that little bastard LOL

Banzai-Racing.com Chris will set you up with whatever you need. He took my car from a disaster to a monster in no time.

Sprockett 07-19-07 08:09 AM

That is true...I have seen Tim's car at almost every step along the way...from the self-painted IC piping to the beauty it is now.

Basically, Chris does great work. You're in IN, and there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't work with him. You will not be disappointed.

No I actually paid for that painting!

Nice ride, when did you get it? Ryan was supposed to come to Deals Gap with use this weekend and cancelled. When I'm give him a hard time about that I'll let him know to get a hold of you. Any chance you are going to the Banzai fall BBQ?

Sprockett 07-19-07 03:02 PM

Maybe :) I got this car a few months back. I love it so far...APS Twin Turbo Kit is in the future once I can save enough for it and everything else I'll need to go along with it :) 550whp + torque = yum LOL

Any comments?

Sprockett 08-13-07 12:01 AM

Car looks good (wheels look a bit too big or the wheel gap's too much...that's my opinion) but there's not much to comment on right now. Chris pulled the motor...that's a good start. What's he going to get done?

Get a nice stock rebuild and get used to the car first. They're very fast in proper running stock form. Once you're used to driving the car; then start looking for horsepower. Dont be another FD statistic. :)
