Help identify this aftermarket flywheel!

2 Attachment(s)
Had this in my car for 4 years. Was told I was getting an ACT lightflywheel. Well it is not. There are no company stamps or serial #'s. This flywheel has a replaceable insert with 24 set screws. It uses the 6 hole auto counterweight like most do. I have searched and searched. Looked at many aftermarket flys. To no success on finding a match to replace the insert. Anyone know which company made one w/ 24 set screw insert holes? Thanks G

Hey Garrett,

I think that's the Shane Racing one. I bought parts from the guy many years ago before I learned that he was a crook :)

I have a new friction ring back at the shop, I can look it up for ya on Friday when I go over to drop in a motor :icon_tup:

looks like a Fidanza. Although if it weighs more than 9-10 lbs, its not. do you know the weight of this flywheel?

The racingbeat flywheel also looks similar.

Yes.. There are a bunch that are similiar. Pettit, Unorthodox, Fidenza, Clutchmaster, etc. They all have 20 set screws or less for the insert.. This one has 24. The insert is 9 1/2 inches in diameter. G

Sounds good Rich! Just check and see if it has 24 set screws that holds it in. Be happy to buy off of ya! G

I weighed myself. Then me and the flywheel. I will call it roughly 10 pounds. G

Check the holes for the pressure plate. If it's threaded, it's most likely a SR flywheel. The Racing Beat doesn't have threaded holes as it uses a bolt/nut combo to secure the pressure plate.

The aluminum flywheel from mazdatrix has 24 set-screws.

Garrett, the SR one only has 10 set screws, countersunk and threaded.
