Help ID this airbox hose

Please help me identify the airbox hose that's on the right-side of the airbox (as your looking at engine from the front).

I know where it attaches to the airbox, but where does it go ?

Below circled in red, is the hose in question.

Thanks,
:-) neil

I thought so, but I couldn't find any reference to it in the factory manual.

This forum is great!

Yea that freaked me out when I first got my car -- I decided to disassemble all that upfront stuff to inspect the radiator and all the lower brackets, etc.... My neighbor was a Mazda tech and had a 93' FD in his bay so he varified for me it went to nothing the next day.

It's only there to vent excess pressure from the air box.

it silences the airpump.

By redirecting the air pump intake pulses under the airbox and away from the passenger cabin :)

Everyrime I see this post I know the answer before opening the thread. Then the Ozzy song "The Road to Nowhere" pops in my head.
