Help! I can't figure out my stalling problem!

I've searched and I can't seem to find an answer. I have a '93 auto. When I shift from Park to Drive, or Park to Reverse, the idle drops from 850 to ~500. This has created issues when I come to a stop, sometimes causing it to stall. Also, when I am in Park and I press on the brakes, RPM's drop ~200. I have adjusted the TPS, and it idles perfectly while in Park. I've replaced the dashpot and adjusted it. The brake lines to the brake booster appear to have had the recall done. Every once in a while I hear a clicking sound on the driver side under light throttle. I'm assuming it's the check valve opening and closing. So maybe it is bad?

Also the transmission fluid appears to have been overfilled from the last time it was serviced. Could too much fluid make my engine struggle when put into gear? It hasn't bubbled or foamed though like some sources have said that it would. I'm not positive how accurate the dipstick for the transmission fluid is though because the line curves.

What else should I check?

You may have already considered this, but why not set the idle slightly higher to see if it eliminates the stalling problem?

maybe the tps is out?

Setting the idle higher doesn't eliminate the problem. The TPS is within range. What kind of effect would a malfunctioning air pump have? On my R-1 I can hear the air pump come on. On this one, I haven't really heard it come on, but I can see the clutch engage on the pump. Both cars have GReddy intakes, so the sound should be similar.

Does it do this when the engine is fully warmed up as well? If it doesn't, just bump your idle by 1/4 - 1/2 of a turn in the clockwise direction.

Still happens when it is fully warmed up. I'll try bumping my idle up again, but I don't really feel like it is solving the problem.

What are the symptoms of a bad torque converter? There have been past issues with the transmission filter getting clogged. I should probably check that out. Also I heard there is a solenoid that acts like a clutch for an automatic. Could that solenoid be bad?
