help with highbeams (pics)
 

so my highbeam toggle switch works (pulling the left stalk towards you), but i can't get the highbeam on/off to work (pushing the left stalk towards the engine)...i AM pushing pretty hard and feel that if i push any harder the entire stalk would snap in half, so i finally decided to remove the column mount and take a peek at whats going on...it seems that when i push back on the stalk it is hitting the thing circled in red in the picture...but the thing circled looks pretty stock...

can anyone post a picture of their left stalk? thanks in advance

The part you circled is the pivot-point of the stalk when pushed forward.
See the backward-C shaped metal piece at the base of the stalk (deeper inside your steering column)? The base of the stalk should be going into that piece when you push it.

hmm thats what i was thinking as well (that the stalk pivots to hit that C piece you described), but now i'm just confused as to where its stuck, thanks for the help i'm gunna go back and look at it more
