Help Help Help!!!!!!!

Fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats all i can say man, ok here is what happend. Last night my buddy and i decided to go at it on the highway with his mustang with headers and exhaust, with my car with midpipe downpipe and i guess i can say custom made catback exhaust because there is a 2 and half inch piping from the midpipe to the muffer and there is one tip. Anyway i decided to roll the guy in third gear, so we did, we take off and i can hear he's really pushing the pedal, i was in third at the time and i didnt no what speed we were taking off but here is where my problem began, in third i noticed that my car was ideling at a high rev but it wasnt moving fast so when i stomped on the pedal my car wasnt picking up any power and the harder pushed the pedal in third i start to hit fuel cut at like 5000 rpm, so then i hit fourth and hit the pedal hard trying to catch the stang because i'am already set back with the high ideling speed in third that in 4rth i didnt gain at all and at a tap of the throttle my revs were already at 4500 rpm!! so i hit the pedal harder and notice fuel cut again at 5000rpm!!!!so i drop it in 5th and try to make up now that i'am about half a car length behined and notice the fuel cut again! at 5000 rpm!!!!!! What hell is going on!!!!! For a long time i have been trying to tell people here on the forum that when ever i'am in each gear i feel that at a tap of the throttle my revs keep climbing put the car isnt moving as quick as it is spinning. So I end up losing to a car that i should easly destroy on the highway. Please someone diagnose my problem, I'am in a state of depression

Revs climb up because of light flywheel...i don't know if you can beat that mustang bro

sounds like your clutch is toast.

Uh, I'd stop racing if there is a known possible problem. Get a mechanic.

I just had a new clutch installed a 3 months ago!!! cant be the clutch already!!!! is it maybe because of the midpipe, please need more help!!!!!!!!

OK.

First of all, big no-no for racing when your car is having problems. Secondly, after hitting fuel-cut not once but twice, you KEPT racing?

Do you have a boost gauge? With a downpipe, midpipe, and cat-back, you could easily be hitting 13-14 psi. This will give you fuel-cut with the stock ecu. What other mods are you running?

Midpipe is a no no with stock ECU. You were probably just boost spiking.

yup, sounds exactly like a clutch problem... maybe the clutch wasn't installed properly if it's only been 3 months and it's already having problems. if this has been going on for 3 months and you continued to run your car hard despite this problem, then you may have other problems.

man, all i can say is that you modded incorrectly. should get an upgraded ecu as soon as possible and see how that changes the cars response/performance.
