Help!!got no spark in front rotor!
Im running into a problem and im running out of ideas! I have a 94 rx7 that im building for my daily driver, but the car wont start anymore. Its happen last week when I was at my body shop that I work at doing some repairs on the panels. The car run fine until I left the shop. Its ran rough, like its running on one rotor. Also notices that the gas gauge needle drop to the bottom.So I quickly when back to the shop. It kept dying on the way over there and its will smoke, but it smell like unburn fuel.
The next day I change the fuel pump and fuel filter... nope not it!! the very next day changed the igition coils, igniter, fuel pump resistor,and the relays off my other rx7 that runs perfect. that didnt do shit! so I change the spark plug wires and plug. And i saw that the old plug are flooded. So, today I check each wire with a spark plug tester and found that the both trailing and leading on the front rotor are not sparking ( t1 and l1) So, Im lost on the next steps. :scratch: |
check your left front fender to make sure your wheel is not rubbing the fender well shorting the wires. This happened alot to forum members as I was one of them. GL.

Did you check your ignition harness to make sure it's connected and grounded on the coil bracket?

Check grounds, issues usually the cause if I remember older posts on this. |
check coil packs, coil harness, engine harness and grounds.

It was the first one with the wheel rubbing on the wiring! Thank you AzEKnightz,twinsinside,evot23 and ThekidintheFD!

no problem! I would suggest the easiest way to fix that is to remove your driver side fender which would involve removing your front bumper.. after that the harness should be fully exposed and make sure that after you fix it.. tuck it up with zipties of some sort as high as you can so it wont happen again.
