HELP, engine acting weird.
Had a leaking radiator. Tried the sealant stuff. Now all of a sudden when the car warms up and I give it gas, the check engine light comes on and it spits and sputters when I get it up at about 3000 rpm. All the while, starting perfectly, idling perfectly, and showing no champagne bubbles of death. I've tried resetting everything and researching this, but can't find any help. Anyone ever heard of anything like this? All advice appreciated. Thanks, Mark

Is your map sensor hose disconnected?

I don't think so. Could it be some sort of other sensor clogged or something?
your car could be in limp home mode, try resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery and holding the brake down for a good min and reconnecting it.
does it feel like you hit fuel cut when u get to 3000 rpms, kinda like you hit a lock at 3000 rpms like a minny rev limiter heh
Already tried that.
I'm not sure what that is like. Don't think I've ever hit a fuel cut.

Where is that map sensor, and I'll go look real quick.
It is on the driver side on the firewall, just behind the AWS hose that connects to the intake elbow on the throttlebody.

Just a thought as well, if you have a leaking radiator you should really replace it.. I know it is all a matter of $$$.. never seem to have enough of it.

I'll go check it now. Yeah, I want a fluidyne. Looking for something used, now.
Does it say sensor-boost, on it?

Hose is on. Anyway, it doesn't feel like a rev limiter. It feels like it wants to go but it starts bogging down, backfiring and all. Like something is clogged, is all I can say.
