Help with Electrical System

Can anyone help me with a problem???

My '93 is having a problem with the headlights.

In a nutshell, they don't go on!

In fact when I turn the switch even the interior and rear lights don't go on. AND the headlights don't go up.

Here's the twist...

The headlights DO go up when I press the button on the dash.

All the fuses look good.

Before I spend $50+ an hour at the dealership or some electrical shop I wanted to find out if anyone coud possibly help or at least have some suggestions.

Thanks in advance...

A fuse can be bad even if it isn't blown. I have had similar problems with other cars, but not the 7, it does sound like a fuse to me and I'll bet the headlight retractor switch is on a different fuse. Incase you didn't already know, you have a fuse box under the hood and under the dash.

My first idea was that it was a fuse also. And as far as I can tell all (under dash and hood) seem to be fine. But, like you said, it could still be a fuse.

Tomorrow I'll try replacing fuses and see if that works.

My fear is that it is a bad relay or even a bad switch on the column.

Does anyone have a copy or link to a wiring diagram on the electrical system??

Thanks..

DrChas
