Help Electrical Problem!

here is my problem see if you can help me out, my driver side window goes up and down, but my passenger side window wont go up, but goes down from both the driver side and passenger side. If i short the window motor directly on the passenger side it goes up! and i am applying the same voltage to the motor as the fuse supplies from the battery which is 11 volts! so the same current is being applied to the motor from the battery through the switches. So how come it wont go up with switches from either side, but will go down? help!

Looking at the wiring schematic, the only thing that comes to mind is to make sure the connector from the pass side switch to the motor is working right. Make sure that red wire is actually getting voltage when you push the switch. Check it at the motor first, if no voltage, start working your way back. Make sure there is or isn't voltage for the up motor movement at the pass side switch. I'm going to guess the pass side switch is bad for the up movement, as it allows the current from the driver's side switch to go through it when it (the pass side switch) is not being used. does that make sense?

You may also try cleaning the switch on the passenger side. Take it apart, and clean the surfaces where the circuits connect. I had to do this every couple of years in my 82 GSL.
