Help Clocking omp

I've searched the forum and the net and there really is no information on this that I've found. So I decided to go at this on my own and from what little info I could gather.
Here's what it looks like before I did anything to it.

This is where I "clocked" it to.

Now the part I'm worried about is the underside of the top and the little hole that I believe needs to be lined up with the pin on the part it plugs into. Should the red circle line up with the yellow one? (sorry for the crappy pic)

If you guys know of someone that I can talk to about this let me know. Thanks for any help.

the guy you need to talk to is ttmott on this forum. Tell him arghx sent ya. He is an e-OMP expert. I'm not sure how much he's messed with the s5 models but he knows the S6 and S8 FD OMP very well.

Got your PM -
I haven't played with the S5 stuff much at all. However there are things the same between the versions.

The stepper motor doesn't care about clocking. The ECU will move the stepper clockwise or counter depending what the potentiometer is telling it to do. Consequently as long as the stepper motor is engaged with the cam shouldn't be an issue.

No doubt from the pics the pin on the stepper interfaces with the hole on the cam drive plate as you indicate. The motor clocking relative to the screw holes if not only one way simply align so the wire harness plug can plug in and looks like it naturally fits and the OMP will fit on the engine.
