Help: CEL 40

1 Attachment(s)
Car continues to display CEL 40.
I have replaced the aluminum check valve and the solenoid valve (purge control).
Is there any other parts within that line I should check?
Any past experiences or ideas would be very helpful.
And just to verify the catch tank line is above the check valve line? or it doesn't matter?

1. Make sure it's a CEL 40 (4 long flashes)
2. Test you solenoid to rule that as the culprit (or not). The code could be a wiring problem

The actual routing of the hose may not conform to the diagram, but the connections should.

1. yup, reset the ecu and each time same cel code, 4 long beeps
2. is there a way to test the solenoid?

If it tests ok and you are still throwing the code, it's something else

yes you should, and the code will only set for an open or short circuit, so the problem will be electrical
