Help! Buying Fd
ok i found an FD for $7000 w/ 121k miles, great right? one problem... it has a salvaged title!?!? what do you guys say! it's a 93, red, black int. lowered (springs), greddy catback... should i run w/ this? cause DAMN! $7k! would probably need a rebuilt shortly? comp test asap?!!? help me :(
i wouldnt touch it because of the salvage. if you ever try to resale it...good luck!!
why are you selling yours :(
If you like it and the interior and exterior look good...you could dump another $7k and get a rebuilt ported motor (BNR)and Stage III twins upgrade (NS) and have a monster!!! (along with all the fuel upgrades and misc stuff)
what's your budget? a 121k car will need a lot of things fixed...unless you do it all yourself it probably cheaper to save up and get a better conditioned car. trust me. i'm learning the hard way.

7k is pretty cheap for a fd
keep a eye on ebay and stay with clear title's

Be carefull you get what you are paying for, this car might need another $5K plus to run right.I would save my money and buy a clean FD with proper title.
just becuase a title is salvage, doesnt mean it hasnt been put back together well. Check the history of the car, find out who put it back together (and their reputation) take it to someone who know's FD's well in your area as well as someone who works on structural damage. I've put many salvage cars back on the road, and when it's done right, you wont have anything to show for it except a letter on your title. Yes, re-sale is harder and you will have to sell it cheaper than a clean titled car, but go out and have some fun with it. just my 2cents
