Help: Brake usage causing fuse to blow

Well, I think it may be some kind of wiring problem, but, whenever I hit the brakes the brake/stoplight fuse blows. This is after 1-2 seconds of holding the brake. I checked all my other fuses and they are fine, even underhood. Any ideas on what to check next? I checked most of the wiring and they all seem pretty good. Now the normal tailights work fine, its just the brakelights that blow the fuse.

I had a similiar probelm with my clutch pedal. Look for any wires that the pedal might be touching when its pressed. My clutch pedal was hitting some wires that wires causing my tach fuse to blow. The wires where not even exposed.

is this a new prob? have you done anything lately? if it is not the obvious wire issue than look at the bulb sockets. one may be corroded and causing a short

Well a couple of them are corroded, perhaps that is why they are shorting, ill try replacing those. It is strange though, because my tailights work fine, its just when i apply the brake that the brakelight fuse fries.
