Help with boost controller install
 

I need some help with installing my GReddy Profec Type-S. I have everything pretty much installed but im not sure about the wastegate hook up. I have a 44mm tial waste gate, i have the boost control solenoid going to the side port of the waste gate. But i don't know if i need to put anything on the top port of the wastegate or do i just leave it open to vent..... if anyone has this boost controller on there FD3 please shed some light. Ive already looked at the directions for the controller and the wastegate, they don't really answer what im asking.

top port goes to any vacuum port on the intake manifold

OK, so the top of the wastegate is vacuum and the side of it goes to boost controller(electronic) ...... Just want to be sure. Thanks!

hold up are u using the stock turbos/wastegate?

no i have a gt35r with a 44mm external tial wastegate

COM port goes to the top port on the wastegate
NO port goes to the intake manifold

wastegate side port goes to the port on the side of the turbo (if u have one) or to the intake manifold

i've seen it hooked up a few different ways tho...

anyone else have any input on this?

sorry to pull the topic from under the dust but what do you mean with goes to the port on the side of the turbo ?
i assume it's the cold side then ? but on the side of the air filter or the air outlet ?

Some turbos have a vac nipple on the compressor housing, if you do not have one and do not wish to add one to the housing the best thing is to install a nipple in your ic plumbing nearest the comp housing or use one of the quick tap fittings in the first silicone coupler.
