Help, advice needed please.
First off, I don't do any of my own work, so I am really just asking for what may be wrong, not what I need to do to fix my problems--although if simple I would try.
I haven't driven my FD in a week or so. It sits with the kill switch flipped to the killed position after cooling down (Optima dry cell). This morning I flipped it on, cranked the ignition and started the car. It idled normally for a little while. I put the car in reverse and started to back out of my drive. The throttle felt unresponsive (revved but not properly--pushed throttle down but didn't feel right at all) and then the car stalled. Needless to say, the car hasn't started since despite lots of trying. The car cranks and seems to have normal electrical power, it turns over and seems to want to start but then immediately dies. If the ignition is in the on position there is a whirring sound from the throttle body and there is a small amount of white smoke that comes from the exhaust that smells like gas. My question is am I flooded or does this sound like something worse. Do I need to get a tow to KD rotary or is this something my local Mazda dealership should be able to handle (Sussman--they are okay but I rarely trust them with the FD). Anyway, any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
