Help!!
 

So i let the lil brother drive the 7 last night...big mistake. He tells me he was racing another car and hit a high rpm maybe even redlined not sure. After that he said the car just sounded horrible. Kinda like when your map sensor hose is unplugged. I checked the hose and nothing wrong its still plugged. Took the car out for a spin and its realy rough to start... i have to pump on the gas peddle and everytime i come to a stop the engine dies out.

So what do you guys think? Blown engine? I got a brand new reman sittin in the garage so not to worried. Just pissed that he did this. Let me know what you guys think so i know if the motor is gone or if i could get a lil more out of it.

Realy rough idle as well, struggles to stay on when i actually get it started.

You have enough posts to figure out the 'do a compression test' answer by yourself.

And how useful would this board be if everybody titled their posts 'help'?

dont have a compression test gauge just want some opinions dont respond if you want to be a smart ass

Sounds horrible, have to pump the gast just to keep the idle alive...

If on top of all this you have extreme loss of power in all RPM ranges than it is likely a broken apex seal. Even if you do not have a comression gauge, remove both front and rear bottom spark plugs and just press your finger over the plug holes. If you feel strong evenly spaced pressure pulsations from one rotor but, not from the other that is an indication for a blown apex seal.

Get a compression test. Doesn't sound good.
