Help...........!!!!
Questions is on my 93 Touring.....with a custom intake which consist of two powder coated metal extensions with two conical K&N filters with a smaller breather filter on the upper 1 inch diameter hose. when u remove the airpump do are u supposed to plug up all the 1 inch pipes that used to be connected to the stock airbox? Because I know there are a total of 3 of those approx. 1 inch hoses that used to be connected to the airbox, 2 for the stock bypass valves, and one that seemed to connect from the airbox and feed the motor.....thats the one that I'm talking about. If facing the motor from the front its located at the very top of the motor about and inch or two to the left of the upper intake piece, and to the right of the stock rubber accordian intake house. Well on my FD I have a breather filter on that house instead of it being pluged up, like I've seen on some pics of other FDs. Well I have a problem of the car blowing alot of black smoke at WOT, obviouse indication of richness. And someone stated that by me removing the airpump and not plugging that hose up my car runs too rich....hence the black smoke at WOT. Is this true....? I would just try plugging it up but the car is in the body shop. I mean I plugged up the other two that were for the stock Bypass valves....because I'm using the Blitz BOV currently. So simple do I plug up all 3 of those approx. 1 inch hoses...?
I'm open to every and any suggestions.....!!!
Thanx people.... Tony

If you dont have a main Cat any more you wont be needing those hose because you took of the Air Pump. What I did is made a Block off plate and just remove the whole thing or you can block off all of the hose too which ever work for you. It will smell that its running rich because you dont have any more cat. just my 2cents
