Hello new to the forum

I'm looking to get a 94 rx7 with 20k on a rebuilt engine. What things should I look out for? Is 10,000 a good price?

I've been reading about reliability issues of these cars. What's going on here? What kind of parts am I looking to replace/repair over time and how is the general reliablility and quality of the car. I don't plan to modify it at all.

Also, I have no previous experience about the performance of the car (vs say an s2000, prelude, or eclipse). Did all 3rd gen's come twin turbo? Thanks in advance sorry for all the questions.

Well let me be the first to say hello, and welcome!

First, you'll want to find out exactly why the motor was replaced/rebuilt. Second how many miles are on the chassis? As far as things to look out for...

If you plan to keep it stock, I wouldn't worry to much about reliability issues. Just don't expect the motor to last much over 100,000 miles. Try going here for reliability mods...

Also search around for "reliability". Use the advanced search, and only search through the 3rd gen. section.

An rx7 should have no problem beating any of those cars. As long as you know how to drive the car. Not totally sure how fast an s2000 is, but that would be the only one to even compare with the rx7. Go here for magazine articles on the rx7...

Also, ALL 93-95 rx7's came with sequential twin turbochargers.

Before others get on here and start bashing you, please use the search feature. All of these things have been discussed here MANY times. Also, this link will help you out ALOT with your questions. Its the FAQ section...

Hope all of that helps!

Performance on an S2000, eclipse, and prelude? Haha, the RX-7 is in a totally different class than those cars.
