headlight problem

i just got my car running and i noticed that my headlights dont work. When i turn the lights on they dont pop up or turn on. But when i press the button for the lights to pop up, they can pop up and the the high beam flashers work. I replaced the headlight switch and still the same thing. Does anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem a while ago. The relay was good and everything seemed ok but the headlights wouldnt work. I removed the driver side fender cover/mudguard and stripped the electrical tape around the wire harness. I found a damaged wire which i spliced back together. That was it! the wire was cut by the tire rubbing on it.

awesome some wires were scrapped up in the drivers side wheel well and i took care of them, but there is a thin black(not the thick one) and a thin orange/blue wire that arent hooked to anything, does anyone where they go?

There are also two white plugs that plug onto stationary grounds in the front bumper. Look between the bumper and the front bumper support and you will be able to see one side of the white plugs. There is one on each side of the car and I bet one of them is unplugged.

fixed

yeah it was definately the headlight relay which is located in a rubber boot next to the intake elbow. the whole relay and molex was melted. just for anyone else with this problem in the future...

Your scraped wires probably shorted and killed the relay.

yeah after alot of guess and check, it ended up being the headlight relay located next to the intake elbow inside the rubber boot. the relay and molex were melted to hell! I can finally drive at night!
