You can probably just make your own one of those. Just run a hose from the passenger side "oil cooler" location to your intake and voila.

You probably could, but this looks like it would work a tad bit better.

is it just me... or is the air gonna goto the path of least resistance.... ie right through the sides of the filter without getting the "cold air"

I was thinking the same thing -- unless they have some kinda of restrictor inside of it, it does look like the sides would be sucking in air all the time.

It will suck air from the sides, but it will still suck some air through the pipe. As long as the end of the hose is in a cool spot, the intake air should still be cooler than it would be without the hose.
