Has anyone actually used Foamseal in their FD?

I have my car stripped down to the bare chassis and I'm looking for some tried and true methods of chassis strengthening. I'll be stich welding the seams and adding a roll-bar. A full rollcage is out of the question, so I'm looking for more that I can do to help in my efforts.

I just stumbled across this Foamseal 2-part high density urethane foam that is used to fill chassis frames/cavities to increase rigidity. From my searches I haven't found but a single person who has posted their results from the process and that single person used it on an FC.

I just want to find out if this is worth the time and money, not to mention that it is irreversible. Has anyone done this to thier FD? Is there any reason not to do it? The cost seems resonable if the results are at least noticeable.

Thanks in advance.

The limited edition of the RX 8 has some foam stiffening in a cross member. Check mazdausa.com, and review the upgrades to the RX 8 "Sinka" (?)

try researching it on other cars, it is done and i have heard it is noticeably effective, the weight increase is minimal and how it would damage the long term life or value of the car is absolutely beyond me. i wish i could give you facts but all ive got is an ear and an opinion.
