Grounding question

I used the metal bracket that is attached to the hard gas and hard coolant lines to ground my ignition wiring. I can't remember what it was grounded to stock, but the hole in the ground wire connector was pretty small and only looked to match up to one local bolt hole. That hole was on these metal parts. These metal brackets are then bolted to the engine. Was wondering if this is a decent ground? I have no idea what type of metal these barckets are made of. Thanks for any help.

are you talking about the ignition harness with the black blue and white connector? if so then the ground on that goes on a bolt that holds the bracket that the coils are in down on the engine. They made a new coil harness part though because the ground was too close to the coils and was arking. I am going to move mine further away from there and I suggest you do the same if this is at all what you are talking about.

Thats the one. I actually have it under the coil rack now. Its actually connected to the metal bracket that is attached to that hard coolant line. I think I'm taking that coolant line out anyway so I guess I have to run the ground to something else. Anybody know what metal the hard fuel lines are made of, and if this would be a decent ground? The bracket that is. Its made of the same stuff

Yanni, you think I should just run another wire to it and get it way outta there?

The metal is steel ,fuel lines , steel water lines .Try to ground stright to the block, just change the connector to one with a bigger hole that fits one of the 8mm bolts .
