Griffin and Ron Davis Radiators

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on both company's products... Knight Sports in Japan are made by Ron Davis.

I believe Ron Davis also makes the Mazda Comp rads.

I just installed a Ron Davis Racing radiator in my car. Accoring to everything I've read they are the manufacturer for Mazda Comp. MazdaComp just relabels it. Great fit BTW!

Here's a few pics of the install (sorry I didn'ttake any before I installed it):

And yes those are 99 fan blades :)!

The Ron Davis radiatior is also the ONLY aftermarket one I have found that is available w/ an integral trans cooler for use in a Auto equiped FD

ive got an all aluminum ron davis performance radiator. it was my first mod. nicely engineered and very nice workmanship. it was spendy but it was one of the components that did help get the temperature situation under control.

The Griffin will cool well, but they are not made tremendously well. I've installed 4 of them and each one had to have the holes for the fan shoud feet dremeled out, up to 1/2 an inch over to one side, to make it fit. Seems thier template or jig is not very good. It also seems the cooling fins stop unevenly short of the end tanks.

dont know if its better than a koyo. ron davis is highly regarded in the racing industry and for his quality products. and the rad is very nice. fitment was perfect even though it has more capacity than the stock. plus they are one of the only manufacturers that offer a rad for the auto fd.
