Greddy Type S BOV questions

Hey guys.. I just recently purchased a greddy type S BOV.. and I was just adjusting the spring on it... The BOV would make a different sound when its on hard and when its soft..it sounds like the stock BOV... Anyways... Im just wondering if its safe to run it at the hardest settings... (It makes a whining sound and sometimes a fluttering sound)..

the only problem you would run into by running at the hardest setting, is that determines when it Blows off....so if its too high then there it dosent do its job soon enought....The stock one tends to Whine and flutter too, you just cant hear it thanks to the intake.

the HKS you can change the colored rings to change the sound...off topic

so the only reason why I can't hear my stock BOV is because of my intake?? is that a problem or is that normal?

normal

OMG!!!!!!!! Serious noobs on this thread! Use search and read up on the threads first! Anyways, that fluttering would be slight compressor surge. Turn the spring to a softer setting, and it should go away. What its doing being on that high of a setting is making it so stiff that 10 pounds or less of stock boost isn't enough to push hard enough on the plunger causing it to stay in the intake and pushing back on the turbo compressor. I own the same bov btw, I would say turn the screw at the top softer about 2 or 3 times.
