greddy twin turbo?
Hey you guys know that new twin turbo set-up that greedy made for the 350z. Does anyone know if they are going to make that set-up for the FD. If so its mine. let me know what you guys think.

I dont think greddy is goin to make anything like that turbo set up for the 7. Mainly because, the 350z set up is true twin turbo, meaning 2 turbos running parallel, not sequential, like the FD's. There arent that many people running two turbos parallel excluding bnr's, 99 specs and stock turbos. But there is a twin set on www.rx7store.net. Kind of expensive though.
I would think greddy would be plenty happy with the sales of the T78 kit for the seven. If you want something like that set up, greddy makes a single TD06 turbo set up for around 3000 dollars. http://www.rx7store.net/index.asp?Pa...ROD&ProdID=468 |
Two turbos make a lot of sense on the Z, since it's a V6 engine - one on each side.
There has been some funky aftermarket twin turbo setups over the years, but a single will make great power, cost less, and have a helluva lot less plumbing. Dale |
the twin kit on the z, if Im not mistaken, hits like a single turbo so If you want the same feeling and spool as the z turbo kit then just get a turbo with the same trim and specs as the z. Don't worry about z's, the rx-7 is a cooler car regardless of having a parallel turbo setup available.

Yeah, if you want better twins, then get the Efini's from the 99+. They have them on RX7.com for about 2500 and they use the same piping, with a little bit of tweeking.

I met a guy who had the gretty twins in his 350 a few weeks back, and we were talking about our cars, and he told me he was making 300hp, which really isn't that much of a jump at all. Oh, and he gets 6lbs of boost on the twins... What a waste of money...considering it was 6 grand! |
He probably didnt change out the head gasket. IF he didnt, 6lbs is about right to save the motor from blowing.
