Greddy Airinx Install Question

Hi Everyone:

I bought the Greddy Airinx Intakes from another forum member, but I'm not sure where to connect things. Which intake pipe does the BOV and CRV connect to? How about the air pump? FYI i'm still running the stock turbos.

We (rx7club) should get a ticker like at the fast food joints to see how long it takes you to get served on the drive-through's.

It's a pretty straight forward install. The two pipes protruding back from the upper hard pipe are as follows: Pass. side to CRV, Driver side to the AWS (I think). Lower pipe: bent pipe goes back to ABV, and straight pipe to the air pump. DONE!

BTW, I think it's sad that a big corporation like Greddy can't even put a PDF of the install manual on their website. Pathetic.

Greddy provides manuals for a lot of their products on their site: turbo kits, gauges, ICs. But intakes were nowhere to be found. Huh.

Joe,

The BOV and airpump ends should be capped as I had the BOV vented into the air and no airpump. Hope that helps. It's been so long since I've even looked at my car that I can't remember exactly how it was installed. Hope that helps some.

Thanks everyone for your help! I basically got it installed. It looks like the pipe that suppose to connect to the airpump got trimmed a bit (which explains why the hose is too short to connect). I might end up attaching a filter on the airpump and cap the end on the lower air intake (closest to the airpump).

LOL. Charlie always messing w/ me. I'm hoping to be part of the 5spd swap club this year (money permitting)...trying to get prices for the parts I need and a shop to do it (I heard A-spec doesn't do the swap anymore).

anyone know if these filters fit in the M2 airbox?

i have the same filters, and im planning to buy the airbox (not including filters) from another forum member.

rynberg 03-13-07 01:44 AM

Not even close. The correct K&N filter part numbers are on www.fd3s.net under the M2 intake section.

VegasFD 03-13-07 03:18 AM

Yup, the Greddy filters are huge compared to the K&N's. No way they would fit in the box.

After seeing the kind of dirt these filters let by (I would never use them with the exception of show) on any car I own. I seen two instances where they have let gobs of dirt into the turbo intake tract ( I suggest you keep them well oiled)
