Gotham PFC Holder instructions
I just bought a used PFC holder, and naturally it came without any mounting hardware or instructions.
Anyone have the instructions for mounting this thing? |
you have to remove the glove box, there are 4 screws under the glove box if my memory is good. Then, you have to drill 2 hoses and screw the holder.
when i received mine, it had a instruction sheet, but it was a brief explication. good luck, Max |
You'll need a pair of small self tapping screws. I hope that you have a 93 model year.......

94/95s have a differently designed glovebox. You can still install the pfc holder, but the two self tapping screws will be visible. On the 93 glovebox they're hidden from view.

So if the screws are visable, than I don't need to remove the glovebox?

well you can use black self-tapping interior screws. That is less tacky at least.

Well if the screws show when installed, then the holes will if I remove the holder. I might just use 3M Dual Lock. It is a commercial style Velcro.

The spacing between the glovebox and the dash may be too tight to permit that but I would check it out. I had initially used two screws I had lying around but them went and got two black flat head screws. Also the commander bounces around in that holder anyone done anything to make this a little more "civilized" or did you just velcro it or crimp the holder itself. |
my car is a 94........i installed my holder without any visible screws.....
1.remove the glove box....and the little plastic piece on the left hand side 2. then cut the lip of plastic off the console beside the radio (or slot it) so u can mount the holder flush (use a rotary tool to due this...i also had to remove the glove box latch for clearancing of the rotory tool) 3. use the plastic piece that u removed from the left hand side of the glove box as a guide to let u know where the screws will not b visible. i used 3 screws to add strength and all is well.... i know this explanation is a little vague.....but u can pm me if u need more help.....mine looks wicked and no screws can be seen........even with the glove box open my commander does not bounce in the holder but if your does........take some foam tape and stick it inside the holder somewhere to tighten her up...peace |
