Gotham P/S Removal Kit

Hey, i am about to install the kit before i put my motor back in. are you supposed to use the entire length of hose? it seems like if the whole thing is used, once it installed, the loop will be about 4" high off the rack.

i used the whole hose, it does stick off the rack a couple of inches

I went to NAPA and found a fitting with an elbow that screws in to the adapter closes to the engine. Then I got some different hose that was more flexible. As you can see, having the fittings pointing straight up is a bit of a problem.

how much fluid did you guys leave in the rack. i think mine is pretty much dry from turning the wheel so much once the cooling loop was dissconnected, but i went to put some fluid in before, and it seemed like it didnt wanna go into eith one of the holes.

I cranked the wheel both ways with everything disconnected.

There is enough fluid left to lubricate the rack, but I don't imagine any will be going through the hose. Kind of makes me wonder what the point is of even looping the ports together.

Has anyone here just plugged them?

Other than with a fully manual rack?
