Got car started!! But still have few problems... HELP
 

Ok, finally got car started again. I replaced all the spark plugs and it fired right up. I turned it off after letting it run for a few minutes to get everything put back together. When I tried to start it back up, it wouldn't. I took out all the spark plugs and cleaned them, put them back in and it fired right up again. It ran for about 15 minutes. When I was getting ready to take it for a spin around the block, it died on me. When I pull the spark plugs out they are completely black.

Oh yeah, it is shooting out blue flames.

sounds like its overfuelling - check your AFR's. If you don't have the facility to do this, you can do a few things...

Check your FPR operation - youll need a mityvac and a fuel pressure gauge
check exhaust for black smoke on idle and any kind of acceleration - black smoke idicated excess fuel
smell the exhaust, if it smells overly - fuelly then this is also a good indication.

If youve done unflooding procedure and the car still dies and wont start due to being flooded, best bet is to get it down the rollers for a tune.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's running rich... Anything I can do through the PFC?

try the map sensor too... i've had that issue

I have this problem! I have my car down at A-spec and am letting them handel it.

What about it? make sure it's plugged up?

and the vacume hose is conected to the UIM. they will make it run rich but you should see that on your pfc display. you could also check the sensors with it. The tps will make it rund rich. Good luck I couldn't find the problem. Thats why I am not dealling with it.

Not sure if this will help, but since you have the PFC, you might be able to check this.

I had my car die on me a while back. It would run ok, then start to struggle, then stall. Engine seemed flooded. Turns out it was some form of temp sensor. I noticed on the PFC that my water temps were showing as -35 degrees. (clearly incorrect) The computer thus tried to warm things up by adding more fuel (I guess. Or maybe it just gave up in confusion).

$15.00 part changed and good to go.

I have a friend that is into rotaries and he is sayin that it's running lean.

You are shooting blue flames and your friend thinks you are running lean? I would try not to pay too much attention to this friend.

As another person has suggested, use the Commander to examine the state of all of the sensors to make sure they are sane. The PFC could be dumping in fuel to compensate for a weird sensor value it is reading.

yep, make sure the MAP sensor is plugged up... otherwise the engine will read 0 pressure/vaccuum and add fuel... making you run very rich and lumpy.

i know this is a given, but MAP sensors are prone you know!?

I just sent out the PFC to get mapped. So I should get it back sometime next week or so.
