Going non sequential

I have a few questions that may or may not have been answered in the past, but in a search for current and up to date information, I am going to post a new thread. I recently read the secondary boost failure post and am fairly sure that would solve my problem, but I am wanting to go non-sequential on my turbo setup. Where my curiosity gets the best of me is, if I do go non-sequential, do I need to replace the turbo actuator solonoid. After all, it is not going to be functioning anymore. If it is going to be pretty much hardwired open, then why replace a part that does not have to "function". Anyway, I come to you guys for direction. Any help with this would be appreciated.

You have a few choices. One is to do the dontbearikki non-seq, which is what i did. You don't have to replace the TCA this way, you just remove it. Actually, come to think of it, both ways you just remove it.

The other option is to do the full non-seq, and you still remove the TCA, so in answer to your question, no, you don't have to replace it.

Thanks, one more thing. Where is the BEST place to find the info on how to do the conversion. Being the most descriptive and most detail. Pics would be nice as well.

Any ideas?

www.dontbearikki.com used to have a good How-To complete w/ pics for the Non-seq conversion. It looks like he is revamping his site and hasn't linked the info to the new layout. Try sending Ryan an email for a link to his directions. Very easy to do/follow.
