Haha thanks alot for that faster server. That dl was starting to piss me off.
What was up with the sound while driving the car, kept on cutting out? It sounds good though.

What kind of ports do you have? When you started it up I heard a rough idle and just figured it was ported.

PVerdieck 02-08-04 08:28 PM

Add a larger shot of the girl on your hood :)

DjRannyKan 02-08-04 08:28 PM

who ever was holding the cam should have held it a bit higher when driving, other than that great car man.

Godzilla-T78 02-08-04 08:30 PM

The car is only running 9lbs of boost, it was took on a digital cammera with video option so the sound quality sucks :( sorry guys for those problems..

PVerdieck - http://www.planethalflife.com/uncros...ergie/sonjarx7

Edit: Yes, its a VERY large street port.

Thanks guys :)

Godzilla-T78 02-08-04 09:14 PM

Sorry about quality, I will end up doing another movie with a digital video cammera.

The car ran 11.2@137mph on street tires with bad traction.

SPOautos 02-09-04 02:51 PM

Nice car and that mph is bad ass. What boost were you running when you trapped 137?

On a side note what flooring is that in your garage? Is it just a regular 1' sq tile or vinyl that you lay down in a big roll or what? I'm looking to do something similar in my garage

Also, which SMIC is that your running? I didnt realize any of the Pettit cores flowed enough cfm to make the kind of power your making to trap 137 (550+rwhp)

137 ???? its not a supra haha

127 i'd buy....

Kevin T. Wyum 02-09-04 03:04 PM

That is an extremely high MPH in the 1/4. If it's real I'd be pretty impressed. I know people running 9's at 137 in Buicks. 127 is still very good as well though if it was a typo.

The car was running a nice 3row and some proxies*255, 40, 16* when it ran that.. dynoed 562hp @ 19lbs. I dont remember how much boost it was running when I ran that time. I had a video of it on my computer before I reformatted.. I will see if I can find it again.. I had a 2.1 60 ft because of traction. If I turn my boost down to about 12lbs I can pull off 1.6-1.8 60ft. The car is fast as hell.. I am really debating if I even want to sell anymore.. Im too in love with it even though I hate it because of the money and time in it.. Thanks for the opinions guys!

SPOautos 02-09-04 03:21 PM

The most I've ever seen from a T78 @ 19psi was about 500rwhp. Seems like you'd need closer to 24-25psi of boost to get 560+rwhp. However 560+rwhp does match up with 137traps BUT no one has ever made that much power at 19psi. Even Chris Anderson told me he's only seen on and it was a bridge port with a T72 running about 20psi.

I'm not doubting your car made 560+rwhp and trapped 137 BUT surely that 19psi is supposed to be 29psi lol

Or wait, you did say 562HP so is that engine hp or wheel hp???

What flooring is that in your gargage? Is it tiles or vinyl?

BTW - With slicks and skills you could cut a 1.4x 60 foot and be in the high 9's.

"If I turn my boost down to about 12lbs I can pull off 1.6-1.8 60ft. The car is fast as hell.. "

You're not trying to say you've run 1.6x 60' times on normal radials are you?

STEPHEN

nice video, and tremendous #'s

It lookslike his garage is tiled the same way mine is, with 12 x 12 Armstrong Industrial Floor tiles. Home depot sells them for $32 a box of 45 squares, so they are affordable and look great. Do a search in the Lounge and you'll see a few threads on others who have done this.

Mine have been down for almost 3 years with no problems at all.

Its vynil sorry.. I had the 1.6-1.8 60fts on my proxies at mororso. I like that track because they spray a compound on the ground for better traction out of the hole. the 562hp was flywheel hp tested on a engine dyno. never had to tested for wheel hp.

A lot of tracks will spray traction compound down depending on the event. Usually for test & tune days where people are paying full price they'll spray a lot down but when they have discount nights they don't put any on, anyway my main point was with the 1.6 part of the line though. 1.8's are pretty good and maybe even a higher 1.7 on street radials but 1.6 is incredible for a 60' on radials and I've made hundreds of passes over the years. I don't doubt what you're saying but that is just amazing. What was the actual best 60' on those tires, not a range but an actual if you don't mind? There's a huge difference between 1.6 and 1.8.

Godzilla-T78 02-09-04 06:57 PM

yea, my best was a 1.68. the slip didnt have a time for the 60ft speed. I know my reaction time was .574 If I can find the slip again ill scan it for ya ;)

vosko 02-09-04 06:58 PM

my best on nitto 555R2's was a 1.80
my best on M&H spinning em was 1.70
besides that i just broke tons of stuff

so i know what kevin is talking about ;)

Godzilla-T78 02-09-04 08:00 PM

yeah, ive been through 2 rear ends and a couple axles.. thats why I bought the cusco to toss in to see if it makes a difference.. drag racing is too expensive.. I have come to enjoy road racing alot more.

I didnt know dynometers could calculate flywheel horsepower because of the many factors involved in drivetrain loss. Id like to see 1. a video of you running 137mph and 2. a printout of your 562 flywheel hp from a dynometer with corrected numbers.

Thanks

Godzilla-T78 02-09-04 08:18 PM

engine dynos is where your motor is out of the car.. ah nevermind. if i find the video ill post it.
