Go twist your toe links
Just out of curiosity is there supposed to be some play here? just got inspected and the mechanic said he could fail me for that. he didn't, but usually he gives me the straight deal. mine are from pettit i think.

There is alway some twisting possible in toe links. Whether they are original or aftermarket, they have ball joints at the outer end, and usually have a type of ball joint at the inner end to allow the link to move with the suspension. These are designed to have some twist built in.

just looking at them it seemed obvious but apparently this guy has failed people for it. it was pep boys after all. thanks.

Yeah, you can twist them. There is a problem when you can shake them and get some clunking noise.
|
Just to confirm what everyone else is saying, they are supposed to be free to twist.
