Gauge senders

What's Up Guys

Any reason why 1 sender cannot power 2 gauges. I have 2 water gauges (don't ask, long story) and I am finding that the sender only can power one at a time (with 2 separate wires going to each unit). Both gauges work perfect on there own. Any know way around this?

Thanks!

Try placing a diode on each wire from gauge -> sensor. This way, only the sensor's resistance to ground will be used for the signal. The diode should be oriented so that the current flow is from sensor->gauge only.

Sorry if this doesn't make perfect sense, I'm really tired :D
