Gates Powergrip Hose Clamps?

Hey guys,

Just checking to see if anyone has tried these yet? These are the heat shrink kind that slip over your hose and you heat with a heat gun to seal. Just curious to know if they hold pressure as advertised. Let me know if you've tried them and your impressions!

If they are what I've used, they heat shrink ON and then need to be cut/destroyed to remove, possibly damaging the hose in the process. Terrible for maintenance and for hoses. I had them on a BMW. I threw them away and put normal clamps on it. Hose clamps dont need to be rocket science or reinvented IMHO. Regular ones are used in 99% of cases for a good reason.

why would anyone want to use a single use clamp?

The screw type only when the factory spring clamps wont tighten enough.
