Fuel System Upgrade Question (PIC)
 
Hey guys,

I am currently running a non-seq stock turbo setup (14psi) and have a FFE Secondary Fuel rail with 2000cc ID injectors and aeromotive FPR. The car is also running a 340lph fuel pump and PFC. The car is still on the stock primary rail/injectors and I'm thinking it's time to upgrade them.

The goals for the car is to have a streetable track car. In the future, I might decided to go single turbo, but do not intend to exceed 450-500whp.

I'm currently starting to collect parts for the upgrade and wanted to validate a few things:

1) I would like to go with an FFE primary rail. I do not want to compromise street driveability. Given that I'm looking to pick the best injectors for the setup. Are ID725 injectors a good choice? I noticed FFE only offers ID1050s, so not sure if there is any pros/cons with going with those or something else? Looking for advice here.

2) In the engine compartment, I'll upgrading from rubber hoses to all PTFE nylon lines. I'm planning to go to all -6 lines since I'll still be running off the stock hard lines and from what I've read it seems it will be sufficient for current and future power goals. Looking for confirmation on this.

3) I'm planning to relocate my FPR to the UIM. Any known issues with this location?

The stock 550 primaries are fine and easy to tune with the PFC. With your 2000 IDs secondaries, you can easily make in the middle 400+ whp.
ID no longer makes the 750s but you can get them from IR - http://irperformance.com/. The 1000 will be hard to control with the PFC just as the Bosch 850 are hard to lean out with the PFC.
For a street car, stay with the 550 for your current power goals.

Agreed. Keep the stock 550s but get them cleaned and flow tested. Add a FFE stepup kit with ID 2000s and you have enough injector for 500+.Hook up the factory air bleed to improve drivability. I stock everything including the more affordable bosch injectors. Let mek now if you need a hand.

I know i'm in the minority but I've had bad luck with the factory injectors, even on my unmolested car. Even after having them cleaned and seals replaced, I have had issues with them. I switched to ID 1000 primaries for my application and have been happy. Since you have PFC, I would get the Bosch ev14 injectors in 60lb size which is about 650cc. The PFC could handle this size easily and you'd have a modern injector, plus they're cheaper than the ID's. Win/win.
