Fuel pump solutions. Sump or in tank?
 

Hello everyone.

I am in a bit of an awkward situation. I have the ability to go either dual in tank pumps or external. Not exactly sure which route i should go. I have 2 Bosch 044 pumps, and most of the hardware needed to complete the plumbing.

For the sump, the tank is sump'ed already so i wont have to get that done

For the in tank option, i already have the CJ-Motorsports dual Bosch fuel pump carrier.


Planned uses for the car. It is mainly a street car for me, but i will also take it down to the tracks. I would like to drag race my Rx a few times, as well as goto a circuit track. If i go with the in tank option, im going to look for the Hyperion surge cover to help keep fuel in that part of the fuel tank.

So in the interest of the community, i am starting a poll to help myself out as well as others. What is your preference for each setup and why did you choose it? If you decided on a certain setup years ago, would you change it?

I'm in close to the exact same predicament! I have two 044 and I'm trying to decide the same thing. I'm leaning towards sumping the tank as I wont have to worry about fuel slosh. If you decide to go in tank, I'll purchase all your sump parts as I'm in Long Island as well!

Bump. Lets get more feed back going on this to see what a larger number of people prefer.

I'm running dual in tank pumps, no Problems here, nice and quiet too.
