Should i get a fuel pump or injectors or both... please recommend what i should get and which brand... What do i need to run 1 bar? Thanks |
if you have bigger injector s your stock fuel pump will prob. not be able to cope
The walbro fuel pump seems common on the rx the 255lph one also nippon denso. check this: http://66.216.67.51/product.asp?0=211&1=260&3=322 range of fuel pumps: http://66.216.67.51/subcatmfgprod.asp?0=211&1=260&2=-1 shaQ |
just go buy a used supra fuel pump and do the trick with your fuel relay

whats a knight sports dual DP? You have two downpipes? For the setup you have you should be okay. You will be cutting it close when you run 1 bar though. If thats all you want to run that 1300 cc secondary injectors and a supra ( Nippondenso ) pump should do fine. But if you plan on upgrading your turbos and running more boost then I would go with bigger injectors such as 1600cc's. The fuel pressure reg is only necessary if you go with the 1600s you have to replace the secondary fuel rail and the stock one will not fit anymore. Hope this helped. good luck.
Edit: Damn it Mahjik! |
go with the supra pump and check my sig:)

whats a knight sports dual DP? You have two downpipes? thanks everyone for the replies... i am checking into fuel pumps... Should i get the pump first or the injectors or both together?? i don't intend to run more than 15psi on stock twins or a single upgrade please recommend injector size.... Thanks |
that sure does look like a nice piece of metal. If you have the pump it won't hurt to put it in now. I would say go with 1,300s.

r34 GTR pump is a common swap here in japan - but a price check on what's available is your best bet (relevant to your budget)

GTR Skyline, TT supra and 20b cosmo pumps are all popular, and my personal preference would be to use one of those. They're real OE Denso pumps and they were meant to last a long time delivering high volumes of fuel. I'm kinda sketchy on the Walboro pumps, I mean they sell 10 apps that are all the same pump and every one is a different price <grand nationals and civics use the same pump for example>. Keep in mind, buying a real OE meant to last Denso means spending 300 plus dollars new in most cases. Though the supra guys get rid of plenty of relatively low milage pumps when they go big time, check out the supraforums for a deal. Personally I went with the Cosmo 20b pump, from what ive read the skyline unit is the only one bigger.

I personally think you should go with a walbro. It boggles my mind that people would pay $200 for a USED supra pump when you can get dual walbros which is an excellent setup. I think for your setup you will be fine with one walbro. I really don't know where these rumors of Walbro pumps failing started, but I still have yet to hear of this happening first hand. Just my $.02
