fuel pump

when i got my car it came with a 255 walbro fuel pump in it. i currently have stock turbos air intakes, dp, and cat back. my question is could this fuel pump be flooding my motor out when the secondary kicks in. my spark plugs look great, but i was wondering if i need to pull the pump.

Walbro flooding your engine? It is possible but, not likely. As long as you maintained your stock wiring with the resistor in the circuit you should be fine.

I've just made the change from stock to Walbro and the Walbro increased my idle fuel pressure by 3psi, as well as took care of the lean condition at full boost and high RPMs that obviously destroyed my last engine. My stock fuel pump was not able to provide enough fuel for some reason under those high demand conditions with my mods that are right around 300 RWHP.

no you should be fine. why do you think you would need to pull it? rotaries like to run rich. if you lean them out, they blow easier. with those mods id check to see if i was getting boostcreep or not. which is a common reason for blown rotaries.

no im not getting boost creep im sure of that, the car floods out and back fires like crazy around 4 or 5 psi.

How do you know it "floods out"?

You need to check:

*MAP sensor
*engine codes
*TPS voltages

Check for codes first.

all FD's backfire and more when cold

Sounds like a tuning issue to me.
