Fuel Pulsation Damper
I'm in the middle of the Vac. hose job.
Figure might as well change the FPD. Has anyone disconnect the fuel line to FPD without relieving the fuel pressure? I just don't want a big mess. |
if you're going to disconnect fuel lines, go ahead and pop your fuel tank to avoid the potential mess and then use a set of surgical clamps on the fuel lines to narrow it down more. Get some rags so that the fuel doesn't soak all over the motor if it does come spirting out make sure its cleaned up good before you fire it up.

Some carb cleaner should get rid of any left over residue.

yes. definitely relieve pressure first. otherwise the fuel will just keep on leaking dripping out and that would make it very smelly to work under there. replace the fuel lines while you are under there as well. might as well...

Hope it's not under too much pressure...
I remember doing the gas filter change. There was quite a bit of gas there even with the pressure relieved. We'll see tonight. Thanks guys. |
