Fuel pressure gauge recommendations
 

I'm trying to figure out what would be the best "bang for your buck" kinda electric fuel pressure gauge out there. I'd like to have a electric one because the idea of running a fuel line into the cabin is not for me.
Is it better to have an analog vs a digital display? what makes one gauge better than the other?
i've been sorting through a bunch off of summit's website and i can't figure out which one to purchase. There are digital electric gauges from like Cyberdyne that run for like 80-90 bucks with the sending unit and there are is autometer which has one for like 200 or so. what's the difference? I'm getting the car ready for tuning so any suggestions would be great thank you

Autometer's sport comp series would be my choice, I believe Summit sells them for around ~160.

I would prefer an analog display (needle that sweeps), since fuel pressure follows boost (changes quickly).

I have the Defi Link Series II fuel pressure gauge and I love it. I also have the boost gauge, and it has a really neat feature where you can set the fuel pressure gauge to show differential pressure between boost and fuel.

That sounds like a VERY cool feature.

A little off topic, but has anyone used an oil pressure gauge and sensor to read fuel pressure? They are much cheaper and I know a couple local people who have done this without issues. It is a little harder to find an electrical oil press. gauge with full sweep, but they are out there and still much cheaper than the electrical fuel press. gauges.

Fuel and oil are both petroleum products, so it seems that either sender would work just fine.

There must be a reason why fuel press. gauges are so much more $$$, someone set me straight. :)

I have both defi B series fuel and oil pressure gauges. The senders look identical.

I have the autometer 3363 and I like it.

how accurate must the fuel pressure gauge be for tuning or trouble shooting purposes? the gauge i listed seems to be rather inaccurate compared to the autometer.
