fuel lines during engine removal

Fuel lines are disconnected, garage smells like fuel smelling up my house a bit .. decided to plug them up with bolts any down side to this ?? Creating pressure or anything??
Anyone have any other tricks ??
Thanks
Brad

X2 on the gas cap, works awesome. I always cover the lines because I clean the engine bay with a pressure washer.

I plugged the lines with bolts, threw cardboard out that was under car catching fluids, and loosened gas cap again,my step son after I removed lines closed it , trying to help :) ...got a fan blowing out the side door right now, smells ten times better in here :).. build thread coming soon, guess its my turn

The 'Help' section at O'Reilly's, AUTOZONE, Pep Boys, etc will have little plugs of various sizes that work great for this; I use these and a clamp loosely tightened over it. Be careful using bolts or anything that is significantly larger than the fitting the hose came off of, unless you plan on cutting back a bit of the hose before you put it back on, which is not a bad idea anyway.

I was thinking about help section .. didn't feel like running to store ..had a bolt close in size...plan on replacing all hoses anyway
