Fuel leak question

just got my fd back up and when i got the fuel pump wired up, everything was working fine until i hear a splash on the ground from leaking fuel in the rear.
i check it out and see that it came from the charcoal canister.

charcoal canister is the cylinder shaped thing by the fuel tank if anyone didnt know the actual name for it.

its got this hose that runs open on the bottom which i think is the problem of the leak. theres no clamp to it and it just seems like some air relieve hose.
in the mazda manual it says its supposed to be unplugged.

if thats the thing leaking and its supposed to be unplugged..then whats there to do about it?
anyone got any ideas or past experience with it?

Charcoal canister is one of your emission control elements. Fuel vapors should escape through that hose to canister.

You did something wrong connecting hoses back which forced fuel to be pumped into charcoal canister.

Check diagram. There should be mechanism that allows for condensated fuel return to intake. If that solenoid/bypass were skipped then it may rush fuel into canister.
